Southern Allotments are managed by the Southern Allotment Society committee made up from volunteer plot holders and who consult with our 160+ plot holders to manage and organise the allotment site.
The committee’s duties include:
Plot lettings & membership management
Financial management
Plot inspections & liaison with MCC
Learning, events & social activities
Site & facilities management
Site communal resource management
Overall responsibility for the site is through Manchester City Council.
We currently employ three official channels for communication – Website, email & Facebook (There is a private group which plot holders may join if they wish).
