As part of the MCC tenancy agreement, or the probationary temporary society agreement, it is a requirement for all society members to display your plot number in a prominent position on your plot.
To help members with this, we have pulled together some ideas for how you can display your plot number. As long it’s safe, it’s inside your plot boundary, and the plot number is clearly visible,
all creativity is welcomed!

  • Wooden sign: You could use re-claimed wood to paint and display the plot
    number.
  • Paint your plot number onto your shed or a large prominent bin/ container.
Wheelie bin stickers: these are cheap, cheerful and a quick solution. They can
be bought singly at many DIY stores. They can also be tacked or stapled
    onto a wooden surface.
  • Reclaim old items to paint the number on: bins, buckets, pieces of cut down logs, or even the back of an old spade which can be propped upside down to display the number.
  • Mosaic onto a baking tray: if you’re feeling creative, use old tiles or crockery
pieces to glue or embed to an old baking tray.

With the plot holders’ permission, we have added some photos of existing plot number signs on the site below, as well as some ideas from other sites.

Feel free to walk round the site and see what others have done and the Society looks forward to seeing your creations!
